چکیده
Background: Endophytic fungi are known as a producer of myriad bioactive natural products, including those originally produced by the host plants. Huperzine A (Hup A), lycopodium alkaloid, which was reported an active acetylcholinesterase inhibitor (AChEI) agent used for treatment Alzheimer’s disease, isolated from medicinal Chinese herbs Huperzia serrata. Moreover, various species endophytic associated with H. serrata and other within Huperziaceae plants were found capable producing Hup A, suggesting these microorganisms promising sources A. Objective: This review aimed to summarize evidence part efforts assess alternative Methods: Scientific articles on published 2000 until 2022 screened through scientific databases. Results: Thirty-two fungal strains belonging fifteen genera documented These endophytes plants, serrata, Phlegmariurus phlegmaria taxifolius. Conclusion: We herein capability produce AChEI agent, could be considered larger scale. Keywords: Acetylcholinesterase (AChEI); disease; Fungal endophytes; Huperziaceae; A).

Fungal Endophytes of Grasses
Mutualistic interactions between species are receiving increased attention from ecologists, although research lags far behind analogous work on competition or predator-prey interactions. Most research has focused on rather showy mutualisms such as pollination or fruit dispersal and has suggested that mutualisms are more important in tropical communities than in temperate communities (67). Plant...

متن کاملBacterial endophytes enhance competition by invasive plants.
UNLABELLED PREMISE OF THE STUDY Invasive plants can alter soil microbial communities and profoundly alter ecosystem processes. In the invasive grass Sorghum halepense, these disruptions are consequences of rhizome-associated bacterial endophytes. We describe the effects of N2-fixing bacterial strains from S. halepense (Rout and Chrzanowski, 2009) on plant growth and show that bacteria intera...

Interactions among endophytic fungi, woody plants and herbivores are usually studied emphasizing fungal mediated plant-herbivore interactions. Seeking evidence for indication of causal relationships between fungi and herbivores sharing the host plant has been self-feeding reasoning in endophyte literature since the findings that some endophytes, particularly seed-borne grass-endophytes in agron...
متن کاملFungal Endophytes: Beyond Herbivore Management
The incorporation of entomopathogenic fungi as biocontrol agents into Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs without doubt, has been highly effective. The ability of these fungal pathogens such as Beauveria bassiana and Metarhizium anisopliae to exist as endophytes in plants and protect their colonized host plants against the primary herbivore pests has widely been reported. Aside this sole ...
